Stephanie M's Wedding Day

It was such a pleasure doing Stephanie's makeup for her big day. I met Stephanie at my friend Corinne's bachelorette party (she's her aunt). Stephanie and her sisters were a blast to hang out with at the party and we had a lot of fun together. After I did Corinne's makeup for her wedding, Stephanie reached out and asked if I would do her makeup for her wedding as well. I was honored! I had a lovely time in the morning hanging out with her, her daughters (who I also adore), her niece Jessica, and her cute dogs. I was so happy to do Jessica's makeup again! She is such a total sweetheart and really cool to talk to and spend time with.  Congratulations Stephanie! I hope you're enjoying your honeymoon (super jealous bc she's on a beach right now!) ☀️🌊

Christian Louboutin's New Lipstick ~ Makeup or Breakup?

Happy New Year Ladies and Gents! It's been a while since I added any posts. I took the blog section away for a bit but I'm bringing it back! In the New Year I would like to take time to blog more, amongst other things. What's everyone's resolutions this year?

What did you do for New Year's Eve this year? I was at a family party and we played a dice game called Bunco. It was pretty cool. Yours truly won one of the prizes and earned $25 - watch out now! ;)

For my New Year's makeup look I wanted to center it around the most fabulous lipstick I received for Christmas. Christian Louboutin's Rouge Louboutin Velvet Matte Lip Colour. Look how gorgeous this thing is. The packaging is amazing. The color I got was the classic red bottom color Rouge Louboutin. So gorgeous and classic.

Now, because it's Christian Louboutin I held it to high expectations. I will say though although it's not advertised to be a lipstick with staying power, it lasted on me all night. I only retouched once and I didn't really even need to. With me, that's important in a lipstick. The other important aspect is smudging. I absolutely HATE when I buy a lipstick and it smears all over my face. What's the point? This lipstick did not smudge and I was very happy about it. The only thing that I think would hold someone back from purchasing this lipstick is the price. It costs $90, yeah I know. That's a lot of money for a lipstick. But it's Christian Louboutin and that comes with the territory. If you're a lipstick enthusiast, you love Christian Louboutin, and you can afford your bills this month, then I say go for it! It's definitely a good luxury lipstick. It's a definite MAKEUP for me.

Did you do your makeup all fun for New Year's? I would love to see pics or hear deets in the comments section below! Happy New Year, everyone!
