Maxine's Graduation Events

Maxine's mother called me for Maxine's hair and makeup for both her elementary school graduation as well as a dance she was having the following week as part of the graduation celebrations. Laura did Maxine's hair and I did her makeup for both events. We loved Maxine! She is such a sweet girl and she was so fun to chat with. We actually loved her whole family as they're such nice, good people. By the way, Maxine is also SUPER smart and got a scholarship to a fancy school in NYC for next year. Congratulations Maxine!

For Maxine's makeup we did partial services the first time for graduation (just eyes) and then full services for the dance (face too) without fake lashes. Can you see the difference? πŸ’—

Airbrush for Patricia's Engagement Party πŸ’

Patricia originally found me on Wedding Wire and we chatted through there. But then, her sister recommended she reach out to someone who did a friend's wedding 5 years ago. That someone ended up being me, too, lol! So I suppose we were meant to meet!

I airbrushed Patricia, her mother, and her sister for Patricia's engagement party at Pompeii Restaurant. She and her sister had gotten airbrush before, but they were apprehensive because they said it made them look very pale. If you've also had this experience, it's likely the makeup artist you used may have used a color that didn't match your skin tone. Or, used a reflective powder over it. They were so happy with the airbrush results. I loved meeting all 3 of them, they were so hospitable and sweet! Congratulations, Patricia! πŸ’

Gannon's Makeup for a Wedding

The second I left Gannon's home I was calling Laura to talk about how awesome Gannon was. Laura did Gannon's blowout and I came to set up towards the end of it. She and her family were SO sweet. Her daughter was super sassy and cracking me up left and right! For her friend of the family's wedding, Gannon wanted to look like herself with a bit of glam which I love to do because I love to enhance natural beauty! Both Laura and I had such a great time dolling Gannon up. She was so kind, funny, generous, and laid back. Needless to say, it was our pleasure!

Cathy D.'s May Wedding 🌷

I met Cathy through my old high school friend Michelle. Her dad was getting remarried to a lovely woman named Cathy.  Michelle reached out for the family asking if I Christina and I were available, & we were! We had a great time and lots of laughs meeting Michelle and Cathy's family and dolling them up for the wedding!

Melissa's Makeup for her Baby Shower πŸ‘ΆπŸΌπŸ’™

I'm sorry but how beautiful is Melissa?! So gorgeous. Melissa contacted me about makeup for her and her mother for her baby shower. Her mom left a little earlier so I didn't get a chance to take a picture of her. Melissa had mentioned that her mother didn't like the look or feel of wearing a ton of makeup so I did a very natural look for her that made her beauty glow. Her mom looked so happy & confident after which made me so happy. With Melissa, she wanted hints of blue incorporated into her eye makeup since she's having a baby boy. If you can tell from the photo, I put a little bit of blue shadow into the creases & used it to line her bottom lid halfway. I thought her idea of incorporating blue into her makeup was so cool and also meaningful. It was so fun to do! I had a great time spending time with Melissa and her mother. Melissa is going to be a first time mom just like me, so it was really nice talking to someone going through a similar experience. Plus she lives literally a block away from where I grew up, so we will have to get together for some decaf coffee soon 😊😘

Jamie's Sweet 16 Trial

I met Jamie on Saturday and we did a Sweet 16 trial for her upcoming party. It was so great meeting her. She's also a huge fan of makeup so it was fun discussing the different types of makeup we liked. She also goes to the high school I went to so it was cool hearing about all the new things going on there and which teachers are still kicking! She's on cheerleading just like I used to be. Apparently we have a lot in common but she's cooler and sweeter than I was when I was 16!

Mani Monday! Valentine's Day Sparkly Red Coffin NailsπŸ’…πŸ»

As I've been told, "coffin" nails sounds kind of creepy. OK. I understand that. I guess having grey/ mauve coffin nails last time didn't really help my case. But I love them anyway, they're AMAZE. The coffin nail shape gives my red nails a little edge and look super cool. What's everyone else rockin today for Mani Monday? Please comment or post a pic below! xo

Here's a chart showing the different nail shapes:

Makeup for Sidney's Sweet 16!

I did makeup for Sidney, her mom Tracy, and her sister Andrea for Sidney's super sweet 16!

They were so fun to do makeup for and incredibly sweet and funny. They were making me laugh the whole time!

Sidney was having an "Under the Sea" theme and had an awesome dress to fit the theme. All 3 of the girls looked fabulous!

Sidney wanted a glam look while mom Tracy and sister Andrea went for a pretty natural look. Everyone looked beautiful! Congratulations to Sidney!
