Hair & Makeup Prep for the Bridal Crew!

Hair Preparation

How should I have my hair when I arrive?

Please prep by having your hair completely DRY. We do NOT blow dry wet heads as it is very time consuming and makes hair more difficult to style.

Hair that is one day unwashed is ideal as it improves hair flexibility and styling. Non-flat ironed, blow dried straight, smooth, dry hair with NO products (especially no oils) is easiest to work with.

However, if your hair tends to be on the oily side then it is recommended that you wash your hair and blow dry it in the morning before your appointment.

What if I want extensions?

Any extension application requests need to be pre-arranged, as we cannot make any changes to the invoice the day of the wedding. Please make sure you tell the bride at least a week prior that you’ll be bringing extensions to style. We do not provide extensions, so you would bring your own. The cost is $30 for the hairstylist to incorporate extensions into your look.

Gratuity

Gratuity is always greatly appreciated for a job well done. Suggested gratuity for the service industry is typically 20% of the original cost of service. The original cost of service is $110 for traditional makeup application or $135 for airbrush makeup application.

But it’s up to you! Any potential gratuities can be paid directly to each makeup artist and/ or hairstylist by cash or Venmo at your discretion.

Makeup Preparation

How should I prep for makeup?

A washed, clean face is ideal for makeup application. You know your skin best and are encouraged to put on your favorite creams/ moisturizers/ etc. beforehand.

Is it ok if I get a spray tan ?

Spray tans are welcomed, as they help your face and body become the same hue. Please make sure to get the spray tan at least 24 hours prior to the wedding.
